Duty Manager 5 POS

INTRODUCTION:  This position is located within the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Food & Beverage Department. The best person for this position is friendly, outgoing and is able to work under pressure for short periods of time.

                                                                       

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Incumbent will monitor and supervise operations of a club or assigned area, normally during the absence of the club manager and/or assistant manager, and normally at night or on weekends. Responsible for the issue, receipt and control of cash. Makes unscheduled cash counts. Prepares reports of significant occurrences during the shift. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer issues. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment and property in accordance with directives and regulations. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take appropriate action.  Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

 Incumbent must have a minimum of one year experience as a Club Operation Assistant or Duty Manager which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, business operation, or equivalent leadership experience is required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and sales operation. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, and to provide work direction to other employees.

 

EVALUATION:  Candidates will be evaluated on quality and nature of the experience pertinent to the position.  Applications must show sufficient knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the full range of duties of the Duty Manager.

This position may require the incumbent to drive a vehicle around the installation. A valid driver’s license is also required.
