American Forces Travel is the new Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program offering eligible patrons access to leisure travel online powered by Priceline and other travel industry leaders. This is the only official U.S. Joint Services' MWR online vacation travel site offering exclusive travel deals and benefits just for the military and government community. American Forces Travel provides access to a wide selection of member-exclusive rates on hotel rooms, flights, cruises, rental cars, vacation packages, event tickets and more.
The Ceramics Shop offers residents a chance to enjoy their artistic side. The Ceramic Shop has a wide selection of green ware and pottery clay for purchasing. The shop is equipped with pottery wheels, painting supplies and kiln for firing projects. The Ceramic Shop also offers variety of classes for residents to participate in. Classes include Canvas Painting, Basic Pottery, Ceramic Molding, Scrapbooking and more.
The Wood Shop, located next to the Ceramic Shop, is for residents interested in wood working or learning a new hobby. The shop is equipped with over 20 commercial-grade wood working machinery and various hand-held tools for use. Residents must complete the Wood Shop 101 Class in order to use the Wood Shop. Classes are offered through the Ceramic Shop.The Wood Shop also offers variety of resale items ranging from hardwood to supplies for projects.

After you complete the required Auto Skills 101 class, we have the stalls, lifts, tools and staff expertise to take care of all your basic vehicle needs. We offer several classes throughout the month including oil change, vehicle fluids, and a Heels on Wheels women-only class. When you are ready to register your vehicle, we will provide an inspection for you so that you may continue the registration process at our local VRO. If you have a project you need an extra set of hands for, or maybe a little guidance on...we have you covered!
With sunny days year round, biking is a great way to enjoy the great outdoors. We have both mountain and road bikes available for rent, and provide a helmet for your knocker free of charge. If you have your own bicycle that needs some help, our professional staff will assist you with your bike repairs and tune-ups. Find us inside the Outdoor Rec building!

The MWR Community Library is a fun, comfortable place that provides resources and services that inform, entertain, and enrich the quality of life in GTMO. Find good books, good movies, learn something new, or meet friends and neighbors. The Library has thousands of items in the collection ranging from the latest bestsellers to non-fiction materials, CLEP study materials to audiobooks and DVDs, and for all ages, babies through adults. Through the Navy Digital Library, https://www.navymwrdigitallibrary.org , we also provide access to downloadable audiobooks, e-books, reference materials, and practice tests at no cost to Sailors and Marines worldwide.

WOOF! WOOF! Do you have a four legged pal that needs to exercise? Does your dog love social hours? The MWR dog park is great for puppy pals of all sizes. With an agility course, shade structure, and wide open space it’s a perfect place for you and your paw pal friends to meet and mingle. Bring your water bowl, water available! Check the MWR website or app for our annual pet friendly events like Pet Photos with Santa and the Lucky Dog Run.

Navy MWR ESPORTS is a Community Recreation initiative designed to provide entertainment and recreation opportunities through competitive sports. This multidimensional initiative will also increase programming opportunities at MWR Liberty Centers through technological improvements and provide top-quality esports competitions to the Navy community.

Ground Zero Paintball Range is open on Saturdays from 11am-5pm for ages 10 and older. We also host a variety of tournaments and challenges throughout the year. Don't have your own marker? We have you covered.
You must use Ground Zero paintballs, and you can store left overs with us for your next trip! Paintballs that leave the course will not be admitted.

February: My Bloody Valentine, Sat., 08 Feb, 1000-1100 – Last Man Standing
Don't get shot through the heart! This last man standing, free-for-all, shootout will be the ultimate bloody valentine. Every man for themselves as you take out the competition and try to be only one left without a broken heart. $20 per player, includes: mask, marker, air, and a hopper of paint per round. All players must be 10 years old or older. Players under 16 must have a parent present at all times. For more information call 2259 or 2345. Register in advance at Outdoor Recreation 4:30-7:00 Mon-Fri (closed Wed) or on site day of. Space is limited, register early.
March: Lucky Shot, Sat, 07 Mar, 1000-1100 – Target Shoot Tourny
Are you a lucky shot or is it all skill? This limited shot, target shoot challenge will stump event the sharpest of shooters. All players must use an MWR paintball marker. All players must be 10 years old or older. Players under 16 must have a parent present at all times. $20 per player, includes: mask, marker, air, and limited paintballs. Are you looking to book a command or private party function? Interested in enjoying our local great outdoors? Outdoor Recreation is here to help! With rental gear ranging from grills & cabanas to bounce houses & games, the O-REC program can support your party needs. We also have camping gear, trail maps, and more. The Outdoor Recreation program is located in the Outdoor Recreation building (2299), across the parking lot from Pelican Pete's Marina. Stop by and ask about our command discounts including free rentals for command recreation events.
Pelican Pete's Marina will be open: Mon - Fri: 0800-1900 / Sat - Sun: 0600-1900 / CLOSED WEDNESDAYS
Remember, mask is required at all times and social distancing procedures in place.

Looking for your next GTMO adventure? Come by the MWR Marina. We offer boat rentals including pontoons, skiffs, and sailboats alongside paddleboards and kayaks. Not ready to captain your own vessel? We offer monthly paddle trips and other outings, as well as 101 classes for beginners. We have a small shop in case you forgot a tool or lure before you go fishing. Stop by and ask us about our deep sea fishing and other charters today.
You will need a Guantanamo Bay Captains License to utilize our vessels so download your Captain's License Study Guide TODAY!
Step 1) Download and study the guide
Step 2) Walk in and take the written portion of the test during regular business hours.
Step 3) Once you pass the written test you can schedule your driving test. OR if you need, we will give you lessons!
Step 4) After you pass the driving test we take you on a Bay Orientation to make sure you know where the boundaries are.
Step 5) Get your license and go!

• Bay Charters - $45/hr, min of 2hrs. – Call for availability
Up to 8 people, not accounting for gear. Includes: Capt, Boat (pontoon or skiff), and cooler of ice. The charter times and itinerary are jointly built between Marina staff and you the customer. Options: sunset cruise, fishing, water sports, wildlife viewing, bay tour, and more.
• WATER TAXI - $8/person each way (minimum of 4 paid riders)
Did you forget your passport or miss the ferry? Check out the MWR Water Taxi! Water Taxi transits between Windward Ferry Landing and Leeward Mantee Landing. Pets count as a paid rider. Taxis can be pre-scheduled at the Marina or you can call and request one for soonest pick - pending availability - by calling the Marina at 2345 or 757-577-2808.
