Camp Bulkeley Fitness Center

The Camp Bulkeley Gym is a 24-hour fitness facility. The facility offers a sauna, Cardio Theater, dumbbell sets and a fully equipped weight room. The facility is located on the Joint Task Force side of the Naval Station which is more accessible to the deployed troops working at the detention camps.

Cooper Field Complex

The Cooper Field Complex offers two turf softball fields, one turf football/soccer field, one youth turf baseball field, one multi-purpose turf field. There are four tennis courts, batting cages, a skate park, putt-putt course, beach volleyball court, outdoor hockey rink, outdoor basketball court, and a 400-meter track also offered.  The fields are utilized every night, almost every day of the year. Cooper Field Complex also offers a concession stand which serves food and beverages during most league games and special events.?

Denich Fitness Center

The Denich Fitness Center is a 24-hour fitness facility. The facility offers a cardio theater, saunas, group exercise classroom, 2 full-size gymnasiums, free weight lifting area, and racquetball courts. The facility also offers 4 Olympic lifting platforms, a family fitness area, a cycling studio and a covered outdoor NOFFS zone.

Golf Course, Driving Range & Disc Golf

The Lateral Hazard offers a 9-Hole golf course, driving range, disc golf course, and a retail shop.  Both courses offer an open spacious layout that is challenging but always fun. We have rental clubs for free as well as pull carts for a minimal fee.  We offer gas powered carts for a minimal fee.  The retail shop is air conditioned with a big screen TV and a covered patio where you can enjoy a cold beverage of your choice. The shop also includes golf and disc golf equipment for purchase.

Marine Hill Pool

The Marine Hill Pool is located at Marine Hill and is easily accessible to the enlisted barracks. The pool features six lanes and is used primarily for Lap Swimming, Command PT. There is a basketball hoop and volleyball net up for free play.

Splash Pad

The Splash Pad is a zero water depth playground. It features spouts and sprinklers meant for younger children. Can be utilized for birthday parties, play groups, and general recreation for young children.

Sports Program

The Guantanamo Bay MWR Sports program offers a wide variety of athletic events and leagues. The sports program offers over thirty running/sports events each year including 5ks, 10ks, half/full marathons, sprint/Olympic triathlons, duathlons, and other special events. Intramural sports leagues & tournaments are open to the entire community and occur throughout the year. These include flag football, basketball, soccer, softball, kickball, indoor and beach volleyball, racquetball, badminton, ultimate Frisbee, and tennis. A wide variety of sporting equipment is available for check-out at the front desk of Denich Fitness Center for your leisure play.

Our current sports include: racquetball, kickball, basketball and soccer. Upcoming sports include: flag football tournament on the 23rd of February. Registration is free of charge and taken at Denich Fitness Center by Wednesday, February 20th.

Our upcoming run events include: Sprint Triathlon on Saturday, March 9th. Registration is open and is $15 per person.

YSF Soccer League: Wednesday, February 6, 2019 – March 30, 2019

Show time: Monday & Wednesday (1730-1900)  Saturday (0800-1100) at Cooper & Multi-purpose fields.

Activity POC: Waylend Reed, 5194 and waylend.f.reed.naf@mail.mil

Volunteers: Will be coaching and mentoring youth in the sport of Soccer.  All volunteers must complete a volunteer package with CYP prior to service.

YSF Dance : Thursday, February 7, 2019 – March 30, 2019

Show time: Thursday (1730-1900)  Saturday (1300-1500) at S.A.C..

Activity POC: Waylend Reed, 5194 and waylend.f.reed.naf@mail.mil

Volunteers: Will be coaching and mentoring youth in the art of Dance (Pom, Hip Hop, Jazz, etc.).  All volunteers must complete a volunteer package with CYP prior to service.

 

Liberty Night Fishing: Friday, February 8th & Friday, February 22nd @ 1800
Volunteer Showtime: 1745

Number Requested: One Capitan, must have a valid license.

Volunteer Duties: This trip is for those who already know how to fish, however, if there are patrons on the boat who are new to the sport,  feel free to offer any tips or tricks you know.  No fishing gear or bait will be provided.  Each patron will have to provide their own fishing pole and bait.  All trips launch from the Marina.  Also, no alcohol or tobacco is permitted on Liberty trips.  Ensure you practice safety during all trips, and following all Marina rules and regulations.

GTMO Mudder: Friday, February 8th at 1530

Liberty Paddleboarding Trip: Sunday, February 24th @ 1000

Number Requested: 1-2, previous SUP experience required.

Volunteer Duties: Assist patrons of all experience levels on how to use an SUP.  Lead a trip around the bay lasting approximately 1 hour.

Windjammer Pool

The Windjammer Pool is located at the Windjammer Complex. The pool offers five water slides and an additional “kiddy pool” for small children.
