CYP School Liaison Office

The School Liaison Officer (SLO) serves as the communications link between military families with school-aged children, the command, and local DODEA School, W.T. Sampson. As the “point person” for educational issues, the SLO is here to assist military families in addressing school-related issues.

Whether you are active duty, a reservist, or part of the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay component civilian workforce, the SLO is here to ensure that your child has access to the full range of services available in the community. In addition to providing information about the school, the SLO also works to assist families who choose educational alternatives such as homeschool, independent study, duel credit or online programs.

Information and Links:

Guantanamo Bay has one Pre-K (Sure Start-more info here) to 12th unit school. W.T. Sampson is a Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA).  The link to the W.T. Sampson can be found here.  Necessary documents for school registration is on their website.  If you need more information regarding a specific issue, please do not hesitate to contact your SLO for assistance.
