DUTY MANAGER
I. INTRODUCTION
This position is located within the MWR Food and Beverage Department aboard Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The best person for this position should be friendly, outgoing and is able to work under pressure for short periods of time.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent will monitor and supervise operations of a club or assigned area, normally during the absence of the Manager and/or Assistant Manager. Shift maybe on days, nights or on weekends. Responsible for issue, receipt, and control of cash. Makes unscheduled cash counts. Prepares reports of significant occurrences during the shift. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer issues. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment and property in accordance with directives and regulations. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, customer misbehavior and take appropriate action. Performs other related duties as assigned.
III OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Incumbent must have a minimum of one-year experience as a Duty Manager or Assistant Manager which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, business operation, or equivalent leadership experience is required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and sales operation. Ability to communicate orally and in writing, and provide work direction to other employees.
EVALUATION: Candidates will be evaluated on quality and nature of the experience pertinent to the position. Application must show sufficient knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the full range of duties of the Duty Manager.
